Synopsis
In these uncertain and tumultuous times when the very basis of our core human values are challenged, Ta Thoi presents"Dheu";, an adaptation of Tagore's dance drama Muktodhara.
"Dheu" asks : What makes us belong? Who is a foreigner, an illegal immigrant? Does religion determine our value as a human being? Can we deny the"others"; basic necessity such as water?
It pits man, machine, religion and state against one another . Can humanity win? It tells the story of Medha, Sarkar and his daughter and Jontri as they all fight to protect their legacy. As the lines of right and wrong get blurred and nature and human rights are assaulted.
